Manipulating my very own image using the techniques i described

So the image i have chosen to use for this today is one i took on one of my winter evening walks with my friend and i felt the colours of the sun set were not being truly shown on camera and that the contrast was off and wasn’t giving me the silhouette of the tree to so I decided to put the tools i learnt to work.

So this is the image i have used just below and as you can see the colours are not as bright as i would like them and they need to be slightly more vibrant ! And maybe create more warmth as well as this feels to cold and not very dramatic !

So i decided to begin with the black lines and make them all a lot sharper, and i can do this in photoshop by firstly going into the settings for the image when selected and then increased the contrast, to change the colours i then went into image again then in adjustments then colour balance allowing you to change the different hues in the image

Once i had done this i then wanted to sharpen the details so i used a tool under filters and down the bottom it will give you a list i chose what i felt would work best for me and my project and this was sharpen edges.

Now i had completed these i felt that the colours were really popping out in the background and there was a really strong gradient between the changes as you can see i had changed the blue into a more purple by increasing the magenta and then i used the red and increased that giving the orange below it looks so amazing and bright just what i wanted contrasting well with the sharpened black lines
